Hey all! A little about me:
My name is Katie. I’m from New England. Born in 1986. Love food. Love travel. Hate mushrooms. A little Type-A. ESFJ. ΧΩ.
In February 2010 I packed up and moved across the world to South Korea. I stayed there teaching English for 4 years. During my time in the Eastern hemisphere, I was able to travel every 6 months and cultivate a healthier lifestyle for myself.
Since returning to the US in 2014, I've had a handful of different jobs and currently work in hospitality and as a personal fitness trainer. I keep a busy schedule, but make travel a priority!
So far (in addition to the places I’ve lived) I’ve been to: China, Japan, Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Indonesia, Canada, Nicaragua, England, Scotland, the Netherlands, Zambia, Botswana, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Turkey, and Germany. I hope to get to 30 countries before I turn 35 in 2021!

[Heads up: you may notice some product and Amazon links strewn throughout the site - these are likely affiliate links. What that means, is if you click over to the link source and decide to purchase, it comes at no extra cost to you - but I get a tiny commission on the sale. It's like being recognized for doing a good job advertising, and it helps cover the costs associated with keeping Weird travel Friend alive! Thanks a mil!]
